WE MAKE YOUR HEALTH OUR TOP PRIORITY
Last Updated on October 11, 2020.
It is our belief that you deserve the best possible dental care while also being as safe and protected as possible. That is why we have made it our mandate to commit to the highest possible standards of COVID 19 prevention and hygiene without sacrificing our quality.
We are fortunate that infection control has always been a consistent focus in our clinic.
Our office follows the highest standard of infection control recommendations made by the Canadian Dental Association (CDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO). We constantly check for updated recommendations and are agile in implementing them.
That being said we still offer the same comfortable, caring and relaxed environment we always have.
NEW PROTOCOLS
Mobile Check In & Surgical Masks - Call The Office When You Arrive
The first step in acting against the spread of COVID 19 is limiting the number of people in the building at any given time. To make this process smooth we ask that you call the office once you arrive. We will ensure we follow our sanitation checklist before we invite you into the cleanest possible environment.
If you do not have your own mask we will provide you with a surgical grade one (mandatory). You will also be invited to use our hand sanitizer kiosk in our reception area.
Fast COVID 19 Screening
Once you call, you will be asked a series of screening questions over the phone and be asked to sign a required COVID 19 screening form. Our staff participates in this process to ensure that any questions you have can be addressed and answered then and there.
Social Distancing
We have optimized our office space to encourage and maintain as much social distance as possible. Our staff and layout make it easy to keep your distance quickly and effectively.
Frequent Santiation and Isolated Operatories
Common areas including the reception area and restroom as well as door handles are sanitized hourly. We have also added additional time between appointments to clean the room before and after each patient.
We also have plexi-glass dividers at the reception desk and at the doorway of each operatory to isolate and separate people optimally.
OUR IMPROVED PPE & FOR YOUR SAFETY
N95 Respirators
Each and every one of our team members wears highly graded respirators to prevent the maximal amount of particle spread. N95 masks capture 95% of particles, the highest possible standard available.
Face Shields & Gowns
Beyond the masks, our dental staff wear protective face shields and full gowns to further reduce any potential exposure. The face shiels further prevent any potential spread and we change our gowns between each patient.
Digital Temperature Scanners
Each member of our staff has their temperature checked and logged before every shift. We also scan each person who enters our office to ensure that no one has a fever, one of the earliest and most reliable indicators of possible COVID infection. Each individual who has a body temperature that exceeds 37.8°C (100° F) will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
Medical Air Purification
Each operatory is equipped with a medical grade air purifier which runs from start to close every day. This is an added protection that is constantly working to make our office the cleanest and safest possible environment.
